avoiding preachiness as best I can because all prophets warned against arrogance. In particular, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was asked if self-beautification were prideful and said no, that "Allah is beautiful and loves beauty." Rather, he said, the bad variety of pride means "denying the truth and looking down on people." Humility is a better path to empathy & the heart.

People pray for the sick to be healed, but they’ll never pray that an amputee will get their limb back, so isn’t that a sign they know there is no real god to answer their prayers?
